Two needs: bring together and engage

Caisse d’Épargne Bretagne Pays de Loire holds an annual seminar. It is the occasion for its 1,500 employees to meet in one place.

This is a common challenge among our clients: bringing together, around a shared project, teams that rarely cross paths or do not know each other at all. The client wanted a simple tool to connect attendees around the brand and build a sense of belonging to the company’s values.

The WeChain solution: a playful, interactive web app

At WeChain we consider that an event platform has to be simple and enjoyable before anything else. We therefore recommend solutions that require no download. We deployed a web app carrying Caisse d’Épargne’s branding, reachable through a single link. Attendees authenticate with a password.

Once inside, attendees enter their interests. Our matchmaking algorithm then connects people on the basis of their shared interests and activities, so that separate circles meet and employees genuinely mix.

Attendees are then invited to take a quiz in the web app. It combines questions about the group, a blind test and offbeat general-knowledge questions.

Finally, everyone posts a photo to the web app to build the Caisse d’Épargne logo out of the 1,500 attendees’ pictures. The result is a live 3D animation generated by our algorithm and shown on a large screen. The photos appear one after another, to strong reactions from the room.

Everyone is a star: the message of the evening

All the images come together to form a logo and a message. The shared project is symbolically sealed.

The result: together

For Caisse d’Épargne the seminar met its goal. In substance and in form, the objective of “being together” was reached. Employees talked to one another, and many met for the first time.

The web app let them make that connection tangible through a closing sequence of photo contributions. Several thousand conversations and several thousand photos were exchanged. That is real capital.
