Measuring engagement, explained
How do you measure engagement at an event?
By looking at what attendees actually did, not only how many came: sessions viewed, quiz answers, messages published, photographs shared. WeChain gathers these signals in a dashboard, which gives you a measure of engagement where an attendance sheet says nothing.
What data does an event application collect?
Usage data tied to the event: session attendance, poll answers, activity on the modules you switched on. It exists to measure the event and prepare the next one. Exactly what is collected and how long it is kept is set out in our privacy policy.
Can you export the results after the event?
Yes. Quiz and poll answers, registration lists per session and engagement statistics can all be exported once the event is over. That is the material for the internal write-up, and the baseline for comparing the next edition.
How do you present an event review to your management?
With usage figures rather than an impression. App activation rate, attendance per session, questions asked, ideas submitted: these are magnitudes a committee understands, and they place the event against the previous one. The export is ready the next morning.
Can you compare two editions of the same event?
Yes, provided the same modules were switched on. That is the main argument for keeping the same event software year on year rather than changing: a comparison only means something if the measurement was made the same way.
