What is a participatory consultation in a company?
It is a format where employees propose ideas and vote on each other's, rather than answering a closed questionnaire. In WeChain, proposals arrive through the event and ranking comes from the votes: what emerges comes from the room, not from the agenda.
How do you gather employees' ideas during an event?
You open a consultation on a specific theme — how work is organised, a product, the next seminar. Each person submits a proposal from their phone and backs the ones they agree with. The most widely shared subjects rise on their own, without a facilitator having to choose.
How do you keep an idea box constructive?
Moderation is built in: each proposal can be approved before it is published. At an internal event that is enough to hold a constructive frame while still letting difficult subjects be raised — which is generally what a consultation is for.
How is this different from a live poll?
A poll offers answers; a consultation lets attendees write their own. The first measures an opinion on a question you asked, the second surfaces subjects you had not thought of. They complement each other: you consult, then you put it to a vote.
What do you do with the ideas once the event is over?
They export with their votes, which gives you a ranking you can defend in committee. This is the most sensitive moment in the exercise: a consultation that produces nothing discourages the next one for good. Better to keep three ideas and say so than collect fifty and stay silent.
