The participatory photo wall, explained
What is a participatory photo wall?
It is an album filled by the attendees themselves during the event, and projected live on a big screen. Each published photograph appears full size before joining the mosaic. It is the simplest activity for getting people moving around a room and breaking the ice between teams.
How do you collect all the photographs from an event?
Without a shared setup, photographs stay on the phones that took them. The WeChain feed gathers them in one place: everyone publishes from the app, and the full album stays available after the event without taking up attendees' storage.
Are the photographs public?
No. The album is private and limited to the event's guests — it does not go through social networks. The organiser can also switch on moderation, so each picture is approved before it reaches the screen.
Can attendees get the photographs?
Yes. The album stays available after the event and each person finds the pictures they took part in, without it filling up their phone's storage. It is often what brings attendees back into the application once the day is over.
What happens if somebody publishes an awkward photograph?
The organiser switches on moderation: each picture is then approved before it reaches the screen, in one click from the dashboard. Without moderation, a photograph can be removed after the fact. At an internal event self-regulation is usually enough; with a wider audience, moderation is advisable.
